Discover Fabien Cardetti’s estate…A mixed farming family estate created in 1923 by my grandfather François, a native of Piedmont in Italy, it was my father who introduced the vines in 1970.Today, our vineyard comprises 24 hectares of vines, as well as a dozen hectares of hazelnut trees for the production of quality hazelnuts.Share Fabien Cardetti’s philosophy…Négrette, the emblematic grape variety of the Fronton appellation, is the majority variety in our terroir, and is particularly well-suited to our boulbènes soils (sandy-clay soils rich in silica). Syrah, which expresses itself particularly well here, and Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon complete the mix. Although my vines have been cultivated using integrated farming methods for many years, I have chosen to make a commitment to the environment as part of a sustainable development approach. By developing new alternative and innovative practices, preserving the hedges and developing grass cover, I have been able to reduce and adapt the treatments applied to the vines. In concrete terms, I use stimulators of the vines’ natural defences combined with trace elements, essential oils or pine sap.
